With Barden, we act as our general contractor, which is nice cause we can see all the money transactions and where and what the money is going towards. Basically, Barden gives me checks to sigh and hand over to the contactors, then those transactions will become a part of the final mortgage.
When I see those checks and sign them over to the contractors, like I had to do with 2 checks today, for the framers....... one word..... "ouch". Seeing checks made out for hundreds, or thousands and knowing that will be going into my mortgage is..... an.... um, interesting feeling..... kinda a cross between panic and insanity :)
At the same time, though, it's worth it.
