Final Kitchen & fixtures

Monday, May 2
Today we had a 9am appointment to finalize everything with the kitchen. It was at the actually office of the kitchen designer. It was very interesting getting there. Map quest had us going through lots of back roads. We hadn't realized it, but as it turned out, the office was part of the actually warehouse where our house was built and shipped from. We didn't have time to look around, but it was cool knowing it.
We just had a few changes, like adding a couple of smaller cabinets and finalizing the color of our counter, wood and stain color. We also finalized our bathroom cabinets. We're going with a 30" counter in the master, a 24" in the guest and it will match the style and color of the kitchen to give nice unified look to the house. It was relieving to get all that stuff finally out of the way.
On the way back, we also stopped by the plumbing fixture place to finalize our fixtures as well. We were still iffy about the master bath faucet finish, but decided that's we'd stay with the stainless steel look.
Before I had gone to work, we stopped at the house. They finished the roof and the shingles. It looked awesome. And it was also the first time, I had see the front door, from the outside, as well.
