Family Room - Shelves

2007
Sunday, August 26

Tim and I were watching one of our favorite HGTV shows, Get Color, which sadly is not airing anymore, when we had seen some shelving we really liked. They were thick shelves that had gone from one end to the other. We had been inspired by it and wanted to so something similar to our family room to finally house our dvd's and games.

Backyard - Hidden Path - finished circle

2007
Thursday, August 16

I finished clearing out the circular area of the hidden path today. Next year we can construct a firepit and seating for the area. This year I just wanted to clear it out.

I also started clearing a path that will lead back to the house on the other side.

Backyard - Hidden Path - Circle

2007
Wednesday, August 15

I'm really liking the look of the hidden path. I've been chipper shredding the cleared brush and using it to line the path as well as logs as a boarder. And I've almost finished clearing the circular sitting area.

Backyard - Hidden Path & Pathway Stake

2007
Saturday, August 11

In the morning I cleared more of the hidden path. In the afternoon, Tim and I hooked up with my bestfriend and we all had gone to the Lewiston Art Festival. There I bought a copper sunflower garden stake that I bought for the path. The stake marks the entrance of the path.

Backyard - Hidden Path - halfway

2007
Sunday, August 5

For the last 4 days, I've been clearing the hidden path in the backyard. I'm now at the halfway point and started to clear the small circular sitting area of the path. As I've been chopping down the brush, I've been chipper shredding it and lining the path with it. I started shredding when I started on the path, but I wish I thought of it earlier, I would've had much more from the backyard area that I had been clearing.

I'm going to make the sitting area about 16 feet. It should be a nice area for some benches, maybe even a small firepit.
