Chestnut tree and the Root-Pot

I had seen an interesting product on the HGTV show Gardening by the Yard. It was a product called Rooter-Pot. It's a pot that you place around a tree branch to grow roots right from the branch. After 2-4 months, roots supposedly grow and you can then cut off the branch and plant it.
I purchased some and I'm want to try them on a few trees, such as Tim's parents Chestnut tree, my childhood home's Birch tree and my Grandmothers Magnolia tree. Tim and I decided to try his parents tree first, since they are selling their home.
After work, we met up there and clipped a pot to the tree. So... we'll see in a couple of months if it actually works.
