Later on Today, we had invited some friends over to have a bonfire. Not only was it the first official bonfire, but we burned 2 significant things today.
[Sidebar].... I had to look up the spelling of bonfire, due to being a crappy speller, but I found the definition to be interesting.......... A bonfire or balefire is a large controlled outdoor fire made from bales of straw or wood. The word is believed to be a corruption of "bone fire" deriving from a Celtic midsummer festival where animal bones were burnt to ward off evil spirits
This was funny to me cause one of the things we were burning was the Barden sign, that no one had picked up. It's been sitting in our garage, since we had taken it down, after we had the plumber and Sales Associates of WNY issues.
The 2nd thing we were burning was our first xmas tree. The Barden sign sitting up on top of the tree didn't stand a chance when we lit that puppy up :)
I'm hoping that the bonfire will ward off the evil spirits of Sales Associates of WNY.
