Firepit - Excavation

Ok... so now that the patio is done for this year, I want to finish another project, before the winter comes. That project is to finish the excavation of the fire pit in the backyard.
It's slowly shaping into a circular area with a sitting wall. I'm not sure how we'll finish it. Maybe it'll be stone or maybe we'll build some benches. I'll have to think on it over the winter.
Along with digging the firepit today, Tim and I buried some saplings that came from the house Tim grew up in. Two were pussy willow trees and the other was a pine. I hope they take as these are important to Tim. They are to him, as my magnolia was to me.
